Temporary Overnight Road Closure – A256 Crabble Hill, Dover – 22 January 2018
An overnight closure of part of A256 Crabble Hill, Dover is planned for the night of Monday 22nd January 2018 from 10.00 pm continuing through until approximately 6.00 am.
A256 Crabble Hill will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, with local access from either direction up to where the road is closed, but no through access.
The alternative routes are via
Westbound via A256 Buckland Avenue, Barton Road, Frith Road, Charlton Green, Maison Dieu Road, Woolcomber Street, A20 Townwall Street, Jubilee Way, Duke of York Roundabout, A2 Trunk Road, A256 Whitfield Hill and London Road.
Coastbound (towards Dover) via A256 London Road, Whitfield Hill, A2 Trunk Road, Duke of York Roundabout, Jubilee Way, A20 Townwall Street, A256 York Street, Priory Road, High Street and London Road
The closure is to enable to allow a detailed bridge inspection to be carried out by Amey, working with Network Rail.
There is a chance that the works may over-run for such reasons as adverse weather conditions or unforeseen engineering difficulties.
